Our Mission Statement

The Evangelism/Outreach Team was formed with the mission to facilitate the sharing of the Gospel of Christ with those here in the community, regionally and around the world.

How do we do we fulfill our mission?

Our Team believes that a two-fold approach is the most effective way to fulfill our mission.  First, we prayerfully and financially support both local ministries and ministries around the world whose primary mission is to tell the world about Jesus Christ - to share His Gospel and the hope that is in Him. 

And secondly, we believe that we must encourage, teach and provide opportunities for our own members to reach out beyond the doors of BBC with the Gospel of Christ.  We have hosted a Sportsmen's Dinner with noted Christian sportsman, Dick Kirby.  This was attended by more than 100 men and women from Maine and New Hampshire.  We have supported one of our own Team members, Bob Pierce, as he and his wife, Eleanor Ruth, traveled to Haiti for 2 weeks in both the falls of 2006 and 2007 to work with the local ministry of Partners With Haiti.  (www.partnerswithhaiti.org) We are confident that our commitment to this mission will grow in the coming year.  We will be actively supporting a community carnival held on our property in Saco in July, 2008.  And, 15 members of Bible Baptist Church will be heading to the Philippines in April, 2008 to work at a Word of Life Camp and Bible Institute for 10 days.  This is the first foreign short-term missions trip sponsored by our Team.
